I ordered two of these; one arrived intact, the other was shattered. Customer service refunded it very quickly. It's thin and lightweight, and clearly a hand-made product. I'd recommend getting the version with the base as imperfections/natural variations in the shell may make the balance vary from cup to cup. Keep in mind that these are very thin shells, so they'll require careful hand-washing. I haven't tried a frozen beverage in them, but I'd imagine the thin-walls might pose a challenge to maintaining drink temperature. I'm also unclear how the vessels have been sealed/prepared, and how to maintain them. No directions were included. I'm tempted to re-seal mine with a bit of beeswax, just to be on the safe side.
